What Is First Aid?

First aid is the emergency care provided to someone who has been injured or fallen ill unexpectedly. It is helpful when quick, professional medical aid is not available. A first aid provider uses different emergency first aid procedures that can stabilise the victim’s condition and, in some cases, help save their life.

First aid can be beneficial as it may minimise injuries, prevent disability and reduce the pain felt by the sufferers. It can also help to reduce the victim’s recovery time. If you want to help people during such challenging times, take your first step today and enrol in our first aid training.

Why Do I Need to Learn First Aid?

Why Do I Need to Learn First Aid.

Trauma-inducing accidents and life-turning events happen suddenly. Such unexpected incidents can leave you disoriented. In these moments, it’s hard to think straight. First aid training can be the difference between life and death in these situations. Proper first aid training equips you with the skills and knowledge necessary to act in an emergency.

In addition to that, first aid training gives you the eye to see potential dangers or life hazards around you. It can help you make an emergency first aid plan and take precautions to minimise and prevent the loss of lives.

First aid training is practical in personal life and work-life and could influence the hiring process. It’s an invaluable asset. Many organisations give priority to people who have first aid knowledge.

If you plan to work as a firefighter, nurse, electrician, lifeguard, or a similar profession, first aid certification can certainly help as it also generates Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points.
