HLTAID015- Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy
Previously known as HLTAID007 Provide advanced resuscitation and CPR, HLTAID015 Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy is the updated replacement for this course. This new course has been put together for health specialists who require oxygen therapy knowledge during a crisis.
HLTAID015 is not for beginners. It’s an advanced course, and you’ll need first aid knowledge before taking this class. Anyone planning to enrol must first complete an HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course, as the curriculum covered and skills learnt in this course will be needed in HLTAID015.
A lot of the training we offer at FirstAidPro is hands-on, and the Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy course is no different. Our goal is to provide our students with an optimal learning environment, with a first aid trainer to support them for the length of their class. We design our courses in such a way to ensure that students have ample time to ask as many questions as they need to and to sufficiently practise the tasks presented to them.

Why Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy?
There are several professional roles where it’s essential to assist a victim suffering from breathing difficulties or hypoxemia.
These conditions are beyond the range of basic first aid. They deal with equipment not available to the average civilian, like oxygen equipment, which is extremely dangerous in inexperienced hands.
The HLTAID015 Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy course provides the skills needed during these situations. If you’re working in a role that requires you to know how to give this type of aid, this course is invaluable to you and your professional career.
USI Requirements
If you’re undertaking any vocational training (not just first aid), it’s now a government requirement that all students have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number. This number is required to enrol in any of our courses. It is a number unique to you- an education equivalent to a tax file number.
Unfortunately, while there’s a lot of things that FirstAidPro provides you with when you enrol in our training, a USI isn’t among them. Just like a tax file number, this is something you have to get for yourself.
Fortunately, the process is free and very straightforward. It shouldn’t take you more than five minutes. Get started by heading to the government USI website. You’ll be able to register for USI or search the database to see if you have an existing one.
Covid-19 Precautions
FirstAidPro works hard to ensure the safety and welfare of all our course participants. We strive to follow the best practices for Covid safety and ask participants to do the same. To attend our courses, you must be willing to sign in at the beginning of the class, follow current government guidelines for social distancing, and in some circumstances, use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as disposable gloves or face masks.
What other training courses does First Aid Pro offer?
At FirstAidPro, we have a wide variety of training packages available in addition to our Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy course. With a wide range of first aid related training courses, you’re sure to find one that suits your personal needs.
There are also older courses that have been superseded by the courses above but might still be referred to in older workplace reference material. If you have a professional requirement to be certified in any of the following outdated training modules, FirstAidPro can train you in the current, up-to-date equivalent course.
